Dermal Fillers such as Voluma, Versa Plus, Juvederm, Revanesse Versa+, Belotero and Volbella can be used to plump lips, sharpen facial features, and revitalize under eye circles. These fillers are made of 100% pure hyaluronic acid, which is already naturally occurring in the skin. Essentially, we are just adding a bit more of what your body naturally produces.
A lip flip is a perfect treatment if you are wanting to slightly give your upper lip a plumper look and give yourself that beautiful smile you’ve been dreaming of. The treatment ultimately relaxes the muscles above your upper lip, causing it to slightly roll upwards and give you a plumper look without having to use filler. A lip flip gives a more subtle, natural look, and is a fantastic alternative to lip fillers and much more budget-friendly. Botox is strategically injected into the sections of the orbicularis oris, a muscle that surrounds the mouth and controls the movements of the mouth and lips to target superficial layers of the muscle at the side and lower lips. This relaxes the muscle fibers enough to flip the lip outward without affecting the function of the muscle. Lip flips can last about three months, just like your normal Botox. Most clients see results within a few days up to a week. This is considered an off-label procedure and results can very patient to patient.
A lip flip is not the same as lip filler and does not work the same. The lip flip is a great option if you are wanting to subtly plump your upper lip and give a gorgeous smile. Lip filler adds volume to your lips (upper and lower) and does not relax any muscles above your upper lip. Our master nurse injector will be more than happy to help decide which option is best for you. Lip flip is great for giving the look of slightly more volume in the upper lip, wanting a natural look, and less invasive treatment. It is also less expensive and has a bit more temporary results. Lip filler is great for adding volume and plump lips, addressing lines around lips, changing the shape of the lips, and has longer-lasting results – up to one year.

A typical appointment will last 30-45 minutes. When you arrive, we will have you complete your medical history and consent forms, and conduct a thorough consultation. Goals, expectations, budget, and followup will be discussed at this time. Your nurse injector will discuss with you how much Botox or filler she suggests, and in which particular areas. Numbing cream may also be applied at this time. Your nurse injector will carefully identify and mark the areas to be treated. An alcohol disinfectant wipe will be used to clean the treatment area. The nurse will use a miro-needle to inject Botox directly into the facial muscles, or filler into the dermis. Botox requires no initial downtime or recovery period. Meaning, you’ll be able to resume most of your normal activities immediately after your treatment. You should begin to notice results in the first week following treatment. Filler may create slightly more bruising and swelling, but subsides after a few days.

After treatment:

Avoid rubbing the treated areas

Do not lie down for four hours following treatment

Wait 24 hours to exercise or engage in any strenuous activity

Typically Botox lasts 3-4 months, but it can vary patient to patient.

The most commonly used dermal fillers, called hyaluronic acid fillers, can last 6-12 months. This depends on metabolism, exercise, and stress levels — every patient is slightly different.

While complications are rare, some experience light bruising and swelling, which typically resolves on it own within a few days. The results of botox and fillers can vary between patients. All patients are different and can expect different results, but we are here to work with you to achieve an ideal outcome. However, should post complications arise necessitating care at a medical or emergency facility, clients are responsible for any and all charges incurred. Although positive results are expected, there is no guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, of the results that may be obtained for any service, treatment or procedure performed at Botox Bar DFW.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, a 48-hour notice is required. A fee of $50 will be charged if the appointment is a no-show, arrives later than 15 minutes to the appointment, or is not cancelled within 48 hours. By providing a credit card for your booking reservation, you are consenting to your card being charged for no-shows, cancellation fees, etc. We reserve the right to charge up to the full-service price for no shows or cancellations without a 48-hour notice. Thank you for your understanding.
